One day ther was a man named Windonamo. He was the greedist man.Windonamo was married to a flithy greedy women named Khareena. They were sly and used to con people out of their things. Both were Fat and hairy everwhere. They were the meanist and cheapist people you wound every meet. On a dark day, they meet a stranger who knocked upon there door. they answered and seen a short man with a sack on his back. He asked them could he spend the night , and quickly they said No! He told them he could help them get wealthy. they let him in and shut the door quietly.
They asked him how and he pulled out a bunch of papers and some tools. They papers were plans into the kings castle. The tools were for digging under the castle and taking the gold right from under. they plan to do it tomarrow on a Foggy day. The day passed and it was night. They went to the side of the castle and started digging. They reached the room where the gold was held and the short man left behind went back out to where they started and then started caving to two in.They were trapped in the kings gold room with noway out. The short man quickly ran to the King and told him that he heard.the king ran with his servents to the room and to his surprise to find two peasants in his room. The People Windonamo and Khareena were sent to the dungeon for life. The short man was rewarded for this with plenty of gold.

Prostitution

Prostitution should not be aloud. Paying for sex is wrong. Why would you want to sell your body ? Your body is a percious thing. You don't want a stranger to come and have sexual intercourses with you its a private matter that should be done between two people who know eachother. The cops should arrest the people who are running the business. Some of the people are young and forced to do this. Grown people take advantage of children just for pleasure. These people are sex criminals.

Virginia Tech Tragedy

That man is crazy for what he did! Killing innocent people is wrong. He is going straight to hell. He should have had counceling for his emotional problems. Someone from the school should have noticed he had personal issues from his starge behavior. There should have been a warning eariler on, or the school should have been on lock down sooner so he wasn't able to enter the school. They should have taken his threats seriously instead of just ignoring it or pushing it to the side.

Money

Of course money makes the world go round. Money is used for everythng. Without money people would be poor and be unable to live the lifestyle they would like to. Some people are hard workers and should be rewared. If there was no money how would things be purchased or made. People would not work for free. People need ambition to work and knowing that they will recieve money for their work will keep them going.

Living together

Living together is a hard job and responsibilities. You have to make sure that you have your side of the rent. At all times, you must respect the persons space and utilities. You don't want to be agravating and messy person. Living with someone else helps you learn how to live with a budget. You can't hardly spend your money on the stuff you really don't need. With someelse though, you only pay half the rent.This helps you alot instead of paying a couple hundred dollars extra

Songs that Celebrate

1. I think the relationship between humans and gods found in the praise songs is that the gods create the world in which the humans live. But I also think that the gods are trying to inform people about death and that it will come some day and that there is life after death.

2. I think the tone of the praise songs are that of some kind of ritual or worship thing. The songs also seem to have a slow pace and show that the creation of the world is celebrated.

3. I like Oshun, the praise song that talks of the river goddess. I like that this praise song because it talks of her wisdom in which is shared. It also says that she is a cure and good for all. It talks of the beautiful water which is helpful to every person and all of nature.

Teen parents

Teen parents have alot of responsibility. Taking care of a baby leaves no time for anything else. You need a big commitment from both sides of the family to raise a child. They may have to drop out of school and get a job to suppport the infant. You will have no experience for anything because you have no education.
Teen persons can only hope for the best and that their parents can provide what they have for them. Teen parents won't have much free or socially time ethier. When you are that young, you barely know have to raise yourself and better yet a kid.

Food

We as a nation don't really have a national recipe. The most common one you would see however though is probably pizza. Pizza's recipe consist of dough, pepperoni, sauce and also chesse. everbody in our nation eat this and love it. You can also purchase this from places that have already made it. popular places that serve it are pizza hut, hungry howies and also domino's. Most like it from these places but i'd perfer a homecooked pizza made fresh from the oven.

We have a big game againsts our rivals the Riverview Rams. I am very anxious to play because of what happen the last time. I thought that we got cheated out of the game, but what could I do about the refs.Later on that day we beat them.

February 3,2007
We went into the district tournament to defend our title. For 3 years we had the winning tradition of district champions. I don't know what happened but we ended up losing in the 2nd round of districts. That was our last game and end of our season.

February 29,2007
I got recruited on a AAU team.We went to different places like Orlando, Palmetto, Sebring and other area's around here. We play good basketball players from all around and get a chance to see who is better.

The Students
the students in my class are the best. I have great friends in my class that helps me alot on just about all of my work. I look forward to going to class every morning and seeing familiar faces.People in my class are just about the brightest students I have ever met

Teachers at my school
Teacher at the School of booker High are mostly all nice but are hard workers. The teachers motivate us to work to the best of our abilities and strive to all do better.With the exception of a couple mean, brutal teachers, all the rest are magnificent. Teachers here are all always on top of everthing and many interact with the students and have a special bond or relationship.

Rain Clouds

The central conflict of the story When The Rain Clouds Rain is that a man named Makhaya escaped from where he was at and becomes a fugative. On his journey he encounters a old hag and a child that lets him stay in one of there huts. Some of the main characters I thought was Makhaya, Chief Seketo, Chief Matenge and Gilbert Balfour. Some attributes of Gilbert is that he is very brilliant because of the methods he uses to help the people, caring because of how he let Makhya work with him.The plot summary is when Makhaya the fugitive escapes and register himself as a resident in the town. The chiefs of the town is very suspicious about the man and keeps a close eye on him. Makahya also gets a job working with gilbert in the field.

September 11, 2oo1

My reaction to what happened on september 11,2oo1 was that it was a devestating tragedy that affected the whole world.Why would people even think about doing things like this. Both people on the plane and people in the twin towers died. The pentagon also got destroyed on that day.

On that day(september 11,2oo1) the persident was at Booker Elementry School talkin to us kids. A man whipered in his ear and had to leave in a hurry.The persident was informed of it that then and their. Those tragdies hurt us all and we will forever pay respect to them.

Thinking Through the pillow book

1.) The most interesting part of The Pillow Book was when they were talking to the dog like he could understand and comprehen him

2.) I think Shonagon sent word to Tadataka because the dog was acting wierd, and that's why I think Shonagon had sent words to Tadataka to let her know that, that he had changed

3.)I think that the author is a brilliant write. She writes as she fell and how she sees things.

4.) I think she means that her typical beautiful day is different in other peoples eyes that might have a different idea of a beautiful day than the one of hers.

5.) I agree with graceful things and embarrassing things. People in today's world always get embarrassed all the time. But I don't agree with hateful things becauses i'm not a hateful person/.

Women in Botswana

Life in Botswana is very extreme for male and female because of the high aids infection rate in the southern part of Africa where Botswana is located. The median age for the women there is about 20 years of age. Out of the 1,ooo infants that are females, 52 of them die. On a daily basis, the women there are beaten then raped by their male partners. Women of Botswana have no rights and the preganat women have HIV.
Women of Botswana professionals are paid just as well as them men there.

The women that live in botswana practically walk everywhere they go. The living conditions there are harsh to them. Most of their time is taking up because they are looking for food fo thier families. Most of the women try and attend organization groups like chruch mettings to disscus thier problems.

About 50 percent of the women are the total population but does not contribute to the workforce. Women however are a major concen in the labour market however. Women have the least oppurtunities in professions. Some professions you can mainly find them doing is teaching, then working for the government is the next and finally a service sector would be the last common job for the women their.

Military service

I think men and women should not be obligated to serve in the military. It should be there choice weather they want to or not. If they are forced, they may not do the right thing because you are forcing this on them. Going into the military they know that they may not come back, so thats why there scared. Women thet most should not be because I just think that isn't right. Maybe if they want to they could, but overall shouldn't.

Chinese Poetry

1. The poem that appealed the most to me was still night thought because tthe reading wasn't as hard as the other and really like understandable.

2. The relationship between the river merchant and her husband were that far away or distants.

3. In "still night thought" the speakers feeling is that he likes the moonlight very much and admires it also.

4. The effect on seeing the waterfall in grazing out is that the speaker can imagine when he sees the waterfall and kind of drift off.

1. My reaction to the advice given in the poems is that it is insightful.

2.In seize the day the speaker tells Leuconoe to live today because he doesn't know what tomorrow will bring.

3. I think the speaker means that if you have the will and ambition to be succesful, you will stay from filth and a bad fortunes.

4. The poems teaches by giving helpful advice to the readers and delight because it was written with charm, grace and percision of language.

5. The picture I find effective is the one in which that is shown is the one in Better To Live because it sows a moral of a collection of ancient art and it has sad like emotions.

6. I think the pome that gives the best advice is Seize The Day because it gives the advice that tells you to live for today and not tomorrow.

7. Yes, I agree with that I think that you should make oals that are reachable not goals that goals that you are not able to accomplish.

Handguns

Why do people even carry handguns. Guns are for people who think their tough. Guns ruin everything and everone. You get 10 to about 30 for bringing a gun to school.If you shot somebody you get life. The only people that should have guns is police officers.

Pause and Reflect: Oedipus Rex

1. I think Oedipus was a magnificent leader because he didn't want to leave any of the people behind. He wanted everone to know about it and be aware of it. Oedipus wanted for everyone else as well as hisself to be cured of the Plague.

2.What caused the plague on the city was a murder and the death of King Laius who was killed by a band of theives.

3. Oedipus learned that his father died from sickness and not from his doing.

4. It came about that Oedipus was raised as polybus son because the messenger told him.

5. Oedipus discovered that he was given up at birth.

6. Oedipus blinded himself by taking the pen and striking his eyes when he found out the truth and did because he was full of grief.

Holidays

Holidays are so important here. Our biggest holidy probably is christmas like everyone else. Her in the United States we are filled with different holidays like Valentine's day, Labor Day. MLK.Jr and other really impotant ones just there are to much to name. On just about every holiday though, families cook specail dinner's and buy new clothing to celebrate the holiday. On most of these holiday's school give us the day off.

Mandela and Pericles

1. Stephen Biko has in common with pericles is they both are honored for their death and were great people. They both were legendry heroes that are part of history.

2.It was important for Mandela to keep alive the memories of biko was because he was a heroe and did alot of good deeds. He died because officers beat him to death.

Analysis of of a Women's Role

In Athenian's society women weren't really better than slaves were. People's of Athen's denied them any type of education and equality. Women had to stay in their homes and could have little time to talk to men. At about 15, or when a girl goes through puberty they are married to a man that was twice their age. The women would have to raise the kids, however many without the father. When her husband and friends are eating, she couldn't eat with them. Women didn't have any military training and education depended on the man. Women however could own land and took part in athletic events. The women ran everything since the men were away.

Poems by Sappho

1. Of the three poems, the one I liked most is probably Some Say thronging Calvalry because it talks about how Helen left everything cause the goddess seduced her.

2. In Some Say thronging Cavalry it talks about a goddess seducing helen and making her leave everone. In To Aphrodite of the Flower at Knossos it explains Aphrodite and a holy place of a sort and in He is more Than a Hero the author feels almost lovesick and weak.

3. The poems that applies to Sappho is He is more than a Hro and To Aphrodite of the flower at knossos because of the emotion they talk about and fellings like how her heart beats faster and tongue is broken and the other about horses grazing, wild flowers. I think these two are best applied by Sappho because she talks about her life, daugther and close friendship.

4. A singer I think that would do Sappho's poems justice is Beyonce because she sings with strong emotion and has a beautiful voice.

Writing Option #2

I haven't had a teacher like Drona. All my teacher's I have do way different methods then that of Drona. One I had that I thought was the best is Mr.Slowik. He shows us a numerous of times how to do an equation and slove the problem for us then we solve it. Unlike Drona, Mr Slowik would guide us through steps. Drona also used clever methods with his students like when he jumped in the lake with the crocodile to see who would save him and had good keen sinces.
Drona was somewhat similar to Mr.slowik because they both honor their best students. Drona gave his elite student by giving him a present which is the same my teacher did. The students in our class had to compete to see who was the best also. We took test and quiz, not like Drona's test best others to help us enhance our skills. Mr. Slowik and Drona both had a personality and are cherrful at times but are serious more often.

Favorite Television Show

A television show I like is ESPN. It's on 24 hours a day. ESPN shows all the highlight from previous games and sometimes games being held at that moment. You get to watch your favorite teams or person in almost any sport around the world.
ESPN shows sports from places as far as China, Japan and France. There are also about 5 or more different ESPN's. Each one shows all sport just not the same one. It shows College boys and girls, NBA, WNBA, Soccer, Football and just about any other your mind can think of.

Thinking through Mahabharta

1. My reaction to Arjuna is that he is very skillful. Drona test his students skill in archery by building a small bird and putting it in a tree where it is almost impossible to see the bird. Arjuna shows he is the best student by striking the bird dead in the head. Drona rewards Arjuna by giving him a weapon.

2. I think that out of all of Arjuna's qualities the most admired in ancient egypt were his skills.

3. My opinion onf Drona as a teacher is that he is a wise and knowing man.

4. Indian parents may still tell this story to their children probably to show them how to try and be the best. It shows them how to honor and trust people.

5. No Drona does not remind me of any other figure from literature. Drona is wise and has special ways to bring out the best of the person.

6. Based on my experience, I think that the lesson bravery is true in this story because it shows how he killed the crocodile and saved Drona.

Movies

A good movie i seen was Saw 111.Evertime something happens it just leads to another mystery.Everone is playing a game and all are clues to the whole game.Each set off people have a different mission and if you fail you die regardless what progress you've made. You also have a time to do this.There is two people running the game.A man named Jigsaw and his apprentince a girl that played the game and survived it.Jigsaw is about to die and give his bussiness to her.She however,toward the middle get shot because she has his daughteer.

Ancient literature and people

1. Some similarities between the Mesopotamian era is they had King, slaves and also had people of diiferent class. Some differences are the religious belief. Some are polythistic and some mono.

2. Some principle points that are in some culture are that women had power. The sons were favored over the daugther. Girls could marry as young as the age of 8 yrs old. Whoever women weren't allowed to own property.

Greek Culture

1. The Greek religion is different because it has no sacred writing, and others had listed theirs in bibles.

2.The god are like humans because they show emotions and are different because they will live forever.

3. Some feature of the Athenian democracy is that 1/5 of the population can be involved in goverment , a law making body called assembly to dabate and allowed poor people to run for office because some paid.

4. The greatest thinkers are Socrates, Plato and Aristle.

5. Some of the events included in the Olympics are boxing, wrestling, javelin, discus and races of all kinds.

6. They used the letters to represent all the sound in the greek language.

Egypatian Literature

2.In the excerpt The Book of The Dead the tone is worried. His tone relates to the situation because he is concerened about the afterlife.

3. The speakers think that Ra should be praised because he is the sun god and starts the day off.

4. The speakers delight in dreaming of herself standing like a bride beside her love because she is ready to get married with her love.

6. Whenever i leave you, I go out of breath because she feels that without him nothing is the same.

7. In some ways the poems because in one it talks about her leaving her love and the other about how everything id different without him and her wanting to get married.

8. In todays society death comes unexpected and Egyptians they are well perpared for whenever death comes.

Think Through Gilamesh

1. My reaction to Gilamesh quest for immortality is that why would he want to be immortal when he's a 2/3 of a god.
Gilamesh wanted to find Utnapishtim because he wanted everlasting life. Utnapishtim tells Gilamesh the story about the Gods. Utnapishtim becomes immortal because the gods took him and made him that.

2. He can't accept the fact that humans being died because he was part human and afraid of death.

3. The story ends with Gilamesh proudly showing Urshanabi the city of Uruk because he was the king of that city.

4. The strongest effect on Gilamesh in this story was when his friend died of the sickness in the begining.

5. I think that the story of Gilamesh might continue with him trying to find another way to have everlasing life. I think he will be a brave and noble king because he's part god and compassionate because he's human.

6. In our world when somebody dies people have ceremonies and pay tribute to them in honor.

Women and Sport

Women and sports aren't really a good combination. Women are femine and are afraid of getting sweaty and dirty. They also aren't tough enough to play and will probably cry when they get hurt. Women normally aren't competitive in sports and some just don't care.
Women never want to do anything that has to do with work. They should just stay in the kictchen and cook and clean. Women think that playing sports is a fasion show. Girls shouldn't play sports.

Quest Story

In this quest story Waist Deep, it is about a man named Odis (o2) goes on a journey to find his son Odis Jr. ( junior) after a man named Big Meet kidnapps his son and holds him for ransom. Odis has many special friends. 2 of his friends were a girl named coco from the streets and his cousin lucky, and they had alot imformation on Big Meets operation. They then started robbing a series of banks to collect money (10,000.oo) to try and retrieve his son.
Odis had somewhat of a special power, which was having lots of knowledge and experience on Big Meet because the both of them were once partners in a crime hiest. Towards the end of the quest story, Odis outsmarted Big Meet and kept the money. Lucky and Big meet died and Odis, Junior and Coco went to Mexico to start there life over.
